Align destination objects AFTER the path animation?

I am putting together a PPT that roughly illustrates binary data being mangled in transit. I have fairly simple custom paths (3 paths/2 turns)that take each single character text box along a visible path where it is "rebuilt' on the other side of the slide (out of order). I simply flip the order of several text boxes as they land.

Originally I got the starting objects aligned by using the Arrange/align/align middle and it worked great. If there was a  way to use the same tool on the destination that would be ideal.

How do I align JUST those destination targets? Every time I try to manually manipulate the final object by dragging it around it tries to also modify the starting location as well. And trying to align it all by hand appears to be a losing battle.

Tool seems to be gone - but I found this free one - http://skp.mvps.org/mptools.htm

It works well for motion paths - not so well if you have other animations going on (spin, shrink and move and object, for example).

    Yeah, this is a pain.

First set up some guidelines to show where the final ending points should be. Ctrl+drag a guideline to create more guidelines, if needed.

Select a path to edit, then choose ANIMATIONS>Effect Options>Edit Points. Click and hold on the end point until you get a diamond-shaped cursor, then drop the end point on intersecting guidelines where it's supposed to end. It's more accurate if you're zoomed in while doing the final placement.

We have an add in that allows you to specify the exact end point of a path. Maybe it will do what you need. It's not free but it's half price at the moment. If it doesn't doo what you need simply ask for a refund!

    Perfect path
