I have another strange problem.  When I save the documents as Pdf, it inserts page breaks at some cross linked tables. I wonder why is that happening.

How are you saving to PDF? If you are "printing" (to a virtual printer) then cross-reference fields may be updating in the process. Normally this wouldn't be a problem unless something has happened to the bookmarks that Word adds around each cross-referenced paragraph. The easiest fix is to recreate the affected cross-references.
