Help! Word document is gone!!!

I recently downloaded word for my i pad I have been writing a paper for my final exam and it has been wonderful always there to open whenigo back in to work on it but now it's gone and I can't god it anywhere. I have the auto save setting on but it's gone how can it!!!!please help

There is no autosave in Word, only the automatic saving of recovery information in the event of a crash, and I don't suppose it is any different in the iPad version. Did you actually save your document? If so the last saved version will be at the location where you saved it.

If it has never been saved and Word has been closed (perhaps to perform an automatic update) the document will be lost.  Always save your work regularly to avoid such disasters.

I don't know how the iPad handles autorecovery information, but there is a small possibility that there may be a recoverable recovery file available that is associated with this document.
