OneNote 16 Sync Issue, error code 0xE4010641

Hi,

I've been having issues with syncing and local storage with Onenote for months. I'm on Office 16 on a Windows 10 Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

Onenote gives me the error code 0xE4010641 - "We can't sync the notebook because you're offline or because the network location is unavailable." - when I try to sync.

It's also been eating up all my local storage, seemingly creating new temp files on my hard disk every time I try to sync.

It will also no longer export or back up, so I'm really worried that if I re-install office the cache (where I assume all of my current notebook files are) will be lost.

I've tried fixes for similar questions on here e.g. deleting IE cache/temp files with no effect.

I've tried a variety of workaround fixes such as creating a new notebook and moving files to it and then trying to sync, with no effect.

Please help!

    Thanks, I had seen this before - none of it has helped. My network connection is consistent, the notebooks still exist.

    Any other suggestions? I appreciate it

    Thank you for reply.

    Logout from OneNote and then login and verify the result.

    Try to synchronize notebooks manually.

    If issue persists, back your OneNote and then reinstall Office.
