Microsoft Account Question

I first posted this on the Outlook.com section but was told I needed to post it here, so here goes.

A week or so ago I had time to do some housekeeping regarding old email accounts and Microsoft Accounts on my Windows 10 computer. It is my work computer and a couple of years ago I got married so I had to get another email account as the one I originally had contained my maiden name. I will call the original account email1. During the time I had email1 we went to Office 365, so I had my first ever Microsoft Account. From now on I will call it MA1. Once I got married, my email changed to my married name - email2, and a new Microsoft Account - MA2 was also created. Last spring my co-workers thought it would be a good idea to have email accounts that described what we did as opposed to our names (there is reasoning behind it but not integral to this problem) - email3. Since I still had access to email2 when I started using email3, I kept using MA2. On the first business day of this year email2 was deleted as I had fully transitioned to email3. A week or so ago I had some time and decided I would create MA3 based on email3. I did so. Then I decided I needed to delete MA1 and MA2 since neither of these accounts were active. I soon learned MA1 was no longer available, so there was no need to deal with it :) I created MA3, but soon realized all of my "stuff", desktop files, programs, shortcuts, etc. were not there and would have to be set up. That was not something I had time for, so I went back to using MA2 for the day. The next day I started researching and found I could add an alias to MA2, so I tried using email3 to set up an alias under MA2. Once I set it up I would make it the primary then delete the email originally associated with MA2, hoping that would keep all my files, programs, etc. As I'm sure you know that was not possible because I had already used email3 to create MA3. More research lead me to believe I needed to delete MA3 to free up email3 so I could use it as an alias in MA2. So I did. After doing so I got this frightening email stating in 60 days(?) or was it 90 days(?) email3 would be deleted. Wait, I thought, I don't want email3 to delete, it's the only one I have now.

So, my question is, is it talking about email3, or is it talking about the name of MA3?

And may I suggest having a section for Microsoft Account questions, as my question covers several topics, but would fit more logically in a Microsoft Account section. I am choosing the Office topic of My account, billing and sign in because my question deals with my account and sign in. Please note the MA I am currently using is MA2, though the email the updates go to is email3. I can't even begin to explain how that has happened since it wouldn't let me associate email3 with MA2 when I tried.

I mean seriously, all I want to do is have everything that currently uses the name on MA2 use the name of MA3, without having to spend days transferring and re-setting up everything a brand new MA3 account. I don't understand why I can't just rename an MA account.

Thank you,

Tonya

Changing the MS Account credentials is only something that can be done via Account support, likewise merging two MS Accounts
