Query design using Design Tab

I want to design a query. Access Online help advises the following steps

Step 1: Create a select query to identify the records to update

Open the database that contains the records you want to update.

  1. On the Design tab, in the Macros & Code group, click Query Design.
  2. The query designer opens, and the Show Table dialog box opens.
  3. Click the Tables tab.

The Design Tab is not visible on my install. I need help in figuring out how to activate the Design tab.

I also do not see the Share tab under File options. Need help on that as well.

The Design tab is a context ribbon. It only opens when an object is opened in Design mode. To start an object in Design mode you use the Create ribbon. To open an existing object in Design mode you select the object in the Nav pane then right click and select Design View.

Access displays 4 TABS on the top- Home; Create; External Data; Database Tool; Microsoft documentation displays and refers to a 5th TAB titled Design. That ta does not show up in my install.
