Word Document TRUNCATION

2015-09-04T00:15:06+00:00

I have lost the bottom sections of 2 different Word documents.

I have the 2nd document and it is behaving very strangely. I wasn't doing anything unusual - just adding text. Then the cursor disappeared and I couldn't use Home or End controls. the last page of the doc disappeared altho the Word page still counts it. When I scroll to the bottom, there is a big blank Word area after the last page (not a page). When I save the doc, it loses another page off the bottom! Help.

In draft view, try copying everything except for the final paragraph mark (¶) and then paste it into a new document and see if that overcomes the problem.

If not, if you can send me one of the documents, I will investigate the issue.

If you switch to Draft View, do you see the balance of the document?

If you use ALT+F9 to toggle on the display of field codes, does the missing text appear inside a pair of field delimiters { }?

    Hello Doug

Thank you very much for your response.

Yes in Draft View I can see the balance of the document!

No ALT+F9 does not show the missing text.

    Many thanks

    Alison
