System error: Oxc06d007e

I attempted to open one of my Microsoft excel files today and could not.  Instead, I got this message:

"We ran into a problem trying to install the product key.  If this keeps happening, you should try repairing your office product.   System error:  Oxc06d007e."

Can anyone help me I fix this problem?

Thank you!

Before I got your suggestion, I tried going to repair my Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013  (Control Panel > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office 2013 > Change > Repair) .  I tried the Quick Repair first but it did not work.  Then I tried the Online Repair, which took quite a while, and that worked.  Thank you for your response & help.

See the Article “Why can’t I start my Office 2013 application at: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/why-cant-i-start-my-office-2013-application-HA104011864.aspx

If that does not help, then you might remove all traces of the Office installation by downloading the fixit from the following article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501 saving it to your computer and then running it.

Then reinstall Office by logging into www.office.com/myaccountwith your registered email address and click Install Office.
