Microsoft Query ODBC Driver Problem

Microsoft Excel 2013 v15.0.4745.1000

Windows 10 Home 64 bit

SAGE 50 Accounts Professional v21.4.7.159 Service Pack 5

For some time I have successfully used the SAGE v21 ODBC driver to transfer data out of SAGE into Excel via Microsoft Query. Since recently upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, the transfer has stopped working. When I ask excel to get external data from SAGE one of two situations can occur:

  1. Excel freezes with a message that it is “waiting for data to be returned from Microsoft Query”

Or 2. Excel provides the following error message:

“Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 8: Not enough storage is available to process this command. (Sage Line 50v21, C:\Windows\SysWOW64\S21DBC32.dll”

I have reviewed various articles in your help centre but have been unable to find a solution. Could you please provide me with further assistance regarding my problem?

Thank you,

Robin Pagett

Me too. This is a huge issue for us. Whenever I go to Data -> From Other Sources -> From Microsoft Query I just get the message "waiting for data to be returned from Microsoft Query”" and it Freezes. Again, we use Sage v21 ODBC driver and have just upgraded to Windows 10.
