I am tracking stock price in excel. I used to get daily quotes from web site. Sometimes it may so happen that I could not fetch data from web site for few days.

My request is: please provide me help, how to fetch data from web site from last date (till I have fetched) to current date. I understand I have to supply last fetched date to web site and from that date to today’s date I want in my excel.

Following fields I am tracking:

Date

Open

High

Low

Close

Shares Traded

Turnover

Please help.

    Hi Mukesh,

I am already able to fetch data. My issue is some times I miss for few days.

Now when I open file and fetch again (say after one week), it should fetch data from where I have stopped last time till current date.

    Thanks

    Hi Akhilesh,

For this kind of problem you need to follow these steps

    1. Open Microsoft Excel
    2. Go on Data TAB and select From Web
    3. There will be small internet screen will be open.
    4. Type the name of side (for Ex. http://money.rediff.com/gainers/bse/daily/groupa?src=gain\_lose )

Note: here I opted only for gainer but you can search some other things also which is relevant for your information.

    1. Select Import
    2. Then you will see some right arrows having yellow colours in that screen
    3. Select that right arrow
    4. Import DATA and then ok.

After following these steps you will get all information on Excel file itself automatically.

And you can set the frequency of information by tuning the setting. Steps for this is are

    1. Select Data TAB
    2. Connection (or Alt+A+O)
    3. The Properties
    4. Refresh every 10 minutes etc.

Note: here I opted only for gainer but you can search some other things also which is relevant for your information.

    Regards,
