Hyperlinks in PowerPoint don't work when saving as PDF file

Hi,

I recently upgraded to Office 2016 and when I try to save PowerPoint files that have hyperlinks (both internal and external), they are not working when saving as a pdf file. In the 2013 version of PowerPoint I had no issues. In fact, that worked better than other pdf-makers.

I've tried all different settings in the options dialog but didn't manage to solve the problem.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Pieter

Maybe we are not being told the full story. (Only maybe I'm just reading between the lines)

If you put a shape with a hyperlink on the slide master in 2016 (32 bit) and save as PDF the link doesn't work here. In earlier versions it does (for me). Links in text do work.

I'm not seeing any problem here with hyperlinks in PDFs saved from PowerPoint 2016. They're working as expected. It's worth running a repair on your installation:

    1. In Windows, search for Control Panel, then select it.
    2. Choose Programs, then Programs and Features.
    3. Right-click on Microsoft Office 2016 and choose Change.
    4. Select Online Repair, then click on the Repair button.
    5. Allow the process to complete, then restart Windows and do save a test PDF from PowerPoint.

    Hi John,

yeah, I was surprised to find out too, since it seems as if nothing changed compared to the 2013 version.

Thanks for your suggestion, though sadly the problem is still there...

Is there anything I might have overlooked?

    Pieter
