Microsoft 10 Printing Format Problems

I just installed free upgrade.....only to have continued problems printing documents. I have installed/uninstalled printer drivers.....I have used Compatibility Mode.....Nothing is seeming to correct the issues. I didn't have any of these issues before upgrading.

Do I need to uninstall Windows 10 to Recover my old settings? Is there a simple fix I don't know about?

Someone, PLEASE help me.

My thanks to those who have responded to my extremely frustrating experience with "upgrading" to Windows 10. It appears that my printing problems have been taken care of.

When I downloaded the upgrade....many of the default settings it came with were in conflict with my existing ones. One of those was having Bing as my Search engine as opposed with setting Google Chrome as my automatic setting for everything. (I'm always suspicious of being manipulated into using one thing over another).......

Once I gave in to having the settings through Chrome as default......and I'm not really sure how I did it, but a screen came up to reconcile/sync my printers/devices. Once completed.....it seemed that all was right with the world again.

    Can you describe the problems?

Ummm - Where did you set that to? Was it Windows + A key and then 'All Settings'?

I had Windows 8.1, an Epson WP-4535 printer and a Brother QL-550 label printer.  After upgrading to Windows 10, the Brother printer ceased to work and with no Win10 drivers available for a simple printer, I replaced it with a Dymo LabelWriter 450.  The LabelWriter printing is inconstant but with regular re-powering I can get a label out.

As for the Epson, all I get is gobbledegook. A 2 page CV becomes 10 pages of random text.  The Epson site says that the latest printer drivers are Win10 compatible, but I have doubts.

Either way, the culprit appears to be Microsoft. What on earth did you guys do to printing and will you be able to fix printing from Microsoft products?

It is possible that your printer driver isn't fully compatible with Windows 10. You could try looking at the printer manufacturer's web site for an updated driver. However, as Doug wrote, it would help if you described the symptoms you see in detail.
