Error: MigrationTransientException during Cutover migration from Exchange 2010 to O365

I am having a lot of issues with a cutover migration from Exchange 2010 to Exchange Online. I get the above error for a few mailboxes/users and I believe it may have something to do with the fact that when migration is running, because we only have enough licenses for our Users, then we have 4 room resources which also get assigned a license during the migration therefore some users miss out.

I have deleted the migration batch a few times and re-ran the migration batch but still more errors.

I also have a user/mailbox "administrator" which I have since had issues with. I suppose I want to know the best way forward to ensure I get all objects migrated?

Thanks Johnny - I ended up tracking down the object giving the error and it turns out the object no longer had a mailbox but the errors were because this was the object delegated to manage the group. Once I reconnected the mailbox it was fine.

Thanks for the help :)

Hi DavidPFox,

After checking the outputs, it is related to DG. This error may be related to this impacted user mailbox/group which contains some invalid objects.

Could you make sure you remove all delegate permission for this DG (it was the Manager field that may contain an invalid user) in local?  Moreover, please make sure DG (contain DG members) is valid.

Regards,

Johnny Zhang

Also seeing a lot of "Error: ProvisioningFailedException: Failed to update one of the recipient properties. --> Couldn‎'t find object "/o=NT5/ou=a0ded8b351e83740bae93f3f4c9b275a/cn=dbf30e48c67bcc4a88042f9b98a68809". Please make sure that it was spelled correctly or specify a different object. "

For a lot of Users when re-running a Migration Batch.

Really need to delete and start again I think - please HELP!

    Hi DavidPFox,

To investigate the issue, please view the details in the right part of the migration batch page, and select one of the impacted user mailboxes. Then you can use Exchange Online PowerShell to run the following cmdlet.

Get-MigrationUserStatistics -Identity *** Email address is removed for privacy *** -IncludeReport | FL

    Get-MigrationStatistics | fl

    Get-MigrationBatch -Identity "the batch name"
