Saving Project files

I want to save a MS Project 2016 file as MSP 2007 for someone else to use. When I use the "save as" function, I get an error message, "The selected file format only supports dates up to December 31, 2049. Please correct the dates and try again." Can someone help with how to change the dates? My project ends in July of 2016, so the project dates are not the answer.

Check your calendars through "Change working time".  Have you created calendar exceptions past 2049?

I am also facing the same question for MS Project 2013 - where I am not able to save file in MS Project 2010 format. It was imported from MS Project 2010 only - then added only 7-8 tasks (all in current year) and then, saving back in MS Project 2007 format doesnt work at all with this error. No changes in calendar, no exception, no custom views.

    What are other possibilities?

    Thanks Julie...didn't work.

I'm resolved to be the only keeper of the schedule and send out .pdfs to the team.

What angers me about this is the lack of support from the Microsoft people.

    Hi David,

Open the file in Project 2016 and choose Change Working time on the Project Ribbon.  Look at the exceptions tab - do any of the recurring exceptions go paste 2049?  Look at the finish date for the exception.

    Julie

Julie, I'm sure you are on the right track...I have tried to change calendar settings, but haven't found the right combination. Can you be more specific? THANKS.
