I purchased Office 365 for Mac, but I'm unable to start even the download...I click install and after few seconds I'm advised that the server officecdn is not responding! I'm trying it for two weeks now!!

Any idea?

Same problem here. For days. Such complications are absolutely unacceptable for a corporation the size of Microsoft. I will not renew past the term of my current subscription because of such incompetence.

    Hi

I've just found the solution from this thread:

Office install from web fails, and option to download to burn to a disc also fails

Basically we need to add the following line in the hosts file located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

    193.77.14.147   officecdn.microsoft.com

The explanation to the issue was:

"The reason for problems accessing officecdn.microsoft.com is in the complex DNS reply, which some DSL modems, routers, etc. don't know how to handle."

you can refer to the post made by GorazdHribar Rajterič for the full explanation.

In Googling this Website. I am not even sure the download should even originate from that server.
