I upgraded to outlook 2016 (non preview) and now when I search for messages in spotlight I get messages that are titled a bunch of letters and numbers and extension olk15msgsource, can I recover such messages in? I suspect they are all over my identity directory. I have 9 years worth of valuable email.

Regards

I am using Outlook 365 for Mac. I selected emails in a folder, right clicked and selected the archive option from the drop down menu.  The emails in the folder were archived (after much searching) in a library folder with the "olk15MsgSource" extension.

A reference to the archive is no where to be seen on my outlook folder list and I cannot see how I can restore these archived files.  The import function only allows for pst , olm extensions.

Help! As I would like to restore these files so I can export them to someone!

It's possible that simply restarting your Mac will fix this problem. Give that a try first and reply with the results.

There is no direct option to recover these messages. you may have to use your browser and check for some tool which could help you recover them.
