Hybrid Configuration Wizard Error

Error while running HCW

Exchange was unable to communicate with the autodiscover endpoint for your Office 365 tenant. This is typically an outbound http access configuration issue. If you are using a proxy server for outbound communication, verify that Exchange is configured to use it via the “Get-ExchangeServer –InternetWebProxy” cmdlet. Use the “Set-ExchangeServer –InternetWebProxy <name of your proxy server>” cmdlet to configure if needed.

Hi pbadminO365,

Thanks for update. I notice you have provided the same log file as your first post.

Have you tried the default built-in hybrid configuration wizard? This is very useful for your troubleshooting. The same error? Could you provide this error log for troubleshooting? For Exchange 2013, by default, the log is located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Logging\Update-HybridConfiguration on the on-premises Mailbox server.

Please provide this log in private message.

Thanks,

Young

Hi pbadminO365,

According to your screenshot, I understand that you’re using the new version of HCW tool Office 365 Hybrid Configuration Wizard: blogs.technet.com/.../introducing-the-microsoft-office-365-hybrid-configuration-wizard.aspx

As this is a newly released tool, I will consult whether we provide official support about this tool in the forum currently.

  1. Moreover, what is your detailed on-premise environment? Exchange 2010, 2013, or coexistence environment?
  2. To narrow down the issue, could you please use the default built-in hybrid configuration wizard? Reference link:

Exchange 2013 HCW: technet.microsoft.com/.../jj200787(v=exchg.150).aspx

Exchange 2010 HCW:

technet.microsoft.com/.../hh529940(v=exchg.141).aspx

technet.microsoft.com/.../hh529933(v=exchg.141).aspx

If this issue persists, please provide error logs for further troubleshooting. The logs contain your personal information. To protect your privacy, I have sent a private message to request it (Click Private messages on the right side of the community site -> Click the subject to view the message -> reply to the message).

With the detailed information, we will do further analysis.

Thanks,

Young
