Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Did this happen after an update, maybe it was done on purpose because some genius at MS found a way to get extra revenues

I have been using Office 2000 on my computer since July of 2015. All of the sudden i get the following message when opening word, "required registry information is missing and this application cannot run. Please rerun setup to correct this problem".
I proceeded to reinstall office 2000 but during the install i get the following message.
"error 1904. module c:\ program files (x86) \ common files\system ole db\msolap.dll failed to register. hresult-2147024714. contact your support personel"
This started happening yesterday and office worked flawlessly until then. Now i can't work on my files anymore.
Why did it work and now doesn't? Is there a fix for it?

Yes. I ended up doing a full restore of my computer and reinstall the original windows 8 and i blocked all updates from downloading on my computer.
