Single Sourcing (manipulating document chunks, not just toggling texts) with Word

Hello, 

Is it possible to generate target-specific output (Word format) from one root document (Word format), using fields and VB macros?

  • include/exclude specific portions of document based on target selection
  • the portion contains heading structures and images, tables, and body texts

We would like to know if such a feature can be achieved without commercial tools.

I've tried using IF field, but it appears that this works only for text toggling.

Any guide or link to appropriate website would be greatly appreciated.
