Error Installing Microsoft Office 2016 Pro Plus Retail

The procedure entry point K32GetModuleFileNameExW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

How do I fix this so that I can install my Office?

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

To resolve this issue we need some information. Let us know the following.

How are you trying to install Office Pro Plus 2016? Are you installing from a download or disc?

This error generally occurs when installing an Office suite on an unsupported operating system.

However, it shows that you have Windows 10 and you seem to be installing Office Pro Plus 2016 on Windows 10. Did you upgrade your operating system to Windows 10 from a previous version of Windows? If so, which version?

In the meantime, you may try installing Office Pro Plus 2016 in the Clean Boot mode. Follow these steps to restart the computer in Clean Boot mode:

To restart in Clean Boot follow the steps as per the following Microsoft Article:

Note: The steps provided for Windows 8.1 in the above article applies for Windows 10 as well. After you have finished troubleshooting, follow steps under “How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot” in the article to boot to normal startup.

Try installing Office Pro Plus 2016. Check if you are able to install successfully in the Clean Boot mode.

    Hello,

    I had microsft word profesisional plus 2013.

    Then  I had new softword the 2016 installed ok 

    after 4 weeks

    My computer stoped working  ,atomaticley did reinstall 2013 .

    So i need to re install 2016 

    I did try to uninstall 2013 but still not working

    so please let me know how can I install 2016 agin i did have activation key for it

    As suggested by Mohan Suryanarayanan, this error occurs when you are trying to install Office on an unsupported Operating System. Refer the following thread which discusses on the similar issue.
