Microsoft Project hyperlink subaddress hashtag

Hello.  I'm having an issue that may be a "feature" but it is frustrating!

I would like to use the hyperlink/subaddress feature for my tasks.  I have an ERM system, and my plan was to put the URL of the system in as "...mypage.aspx?id=" and the work order "123456" in as the subaddress.  That way, by clicking on the link, a user would be taken directly to the work order (through the login screen, tested and functioning).  However, for some reason, Project is putting a hashtag in between!  So the URL ends up being "...mypage.aspx?id=**#**123456".  My system doesn't use hashtags, and it's unlikely I can have it reprogrammed to do so.

Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Andy

So, new project, back at it. Got serious and did some research. Not a Microsoft issue, but how the internets work! The hashtag is a "fragment identifier" which is super useful if used right. The web app we are accessing doesn't use the ID function, so it basically ignores anything after the hashtag.

    Some light reading:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fragment\_identifier

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform\_Resource\_Identifier#Examples

(See what I did on the second link? #fullcircle)

Started a document from scratch and still getting it.  If I use just the hyperlink column it doesn't happen.  I can edit the tag and remove the hashtag but then the subaddress column goes blank again.  It would be super convenient to just type all of the subaddresses in a row but it's looking bleak!  Screenshot attached.

I added a similar link to a task and didn't get the #. Try selecting the task tehn press Ctrl+K to show the Hyperlink and check or edit the address.
