Tab button on Microsoft 2016 for Mac Problem

Whenever I start a new document and I try to indent with the tab button, the tab button immediately changes the text to 10.5 Calibri Light font, and it italicizes the font. It will not allow me to indent at all.

Did you install all the latest updates?

Go to Format > Tabs>Clear all and then try pressing the tab key and check if the problem continues.

You could also delete normal.dotm and check if problems still occurs
