Cutover migration failed mailboxes

Some of the mailboxes failed with the following error:

Error: MigrationMRSPermanentException: Error: MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to open message store. ‎(hr=0x80004005, ec=2423)‎ Diagnostic context: Lid: 45095 EMSMDB.EcDoRpcExt2 called [length=152] Lid: 36903 EMSMDB.EcDoRpcExt2 exception [rpc_status=0x6BA][latency=15] Lid: 23260 Win32Error: 0x6BA Lid: 34929 StoreEc: 0x977 Lid: 52176 ClientVersion: 15.1.300.18 Lid: 50032 ServerVersion: 14.3.235.4001 Lid: 50128 Lid: 50288 Lid: 23354 StoreEc: 0x977 Lid: 35180 Lid: 25913 Lid: 21817 ROP Failure: 0x977 Lid: 26297 Lid: 16585 StoreEc: 0x977 Lid: 32441 Lid: 1706 StoreEc: 0x977 Lid: 24761 Lid: 20665 StoreEc: 0x977 Lid: 25785 Lid: 29881 StoreEc: 0x977

I have checked the mailbox permissions and the user account in the migration endpoint has full access. Could this just be caused by overloading the server? We chose to do 300 concurrent syncs. Will the failed ones ever retry or are they permanently excluded from future sync attempts?

    Hi FederationTrust Service Account,

Got any updates about the migration issue we've been discussed?

    Thanks,

    Allen

    Hi FederationTrust Service Account,

I suggest you check the migration batch, and the detailed status of mailbox. If the status is failed, the batch will report the result, and will do not delta sync. If it is synced, it will delta sync every 24 hours.

    Regards,

    Johnny Zhang

Problem with that is I need to keep the mailboxes that have worked in sync. I need the daily delta update to take place for all the mailboxes. How do I workaround this please?

    Hi FederationTrust Service Account,

It will not re-try, but you can just finish the current migration batch and create a new one. The new migration batch will skip all the mailbox data that has been synchronized and try to move the failed data only.

Please give it a shot and let us know the results.

    Thanks,

    Allen
