Drag Option not working in my excel sheet

Dear Peeps,

If i want fill sequence in my excel sheet currently i'm using as below:

Step1: I will enter first two horizontal/vertical cells value 

Step2: Then I will select till which point the value should required

Step3: Go to Editing tool bar

Step4: Select "Fill" option

Step5: Click on "Series"

Step6: Select Series type as "Growth"

Step7: Step Value as 1

Step8: Click on "Ok" button

Earlier i just use mouse to drag after selecting the which column I want - for S.No - "1,2,3,4,...........n"

Please help me how can I set this again.

    Let see if it is really broke!

    Type 1 in F1, 2 in F2; select F1:F2; move mouse point to fill handle (note change in cursor shape - see screen shot); drag down to F10.
