Dirsync and Domain Controller

Hey.

I have a question about the Dirsync client and the Domain controller.

After we installed the Dirsync tool we  now have a new domain controller, the old one will be removed.

Do I need to setup the Dirsync tool again, or can i just go under "Configure Directory Partitions" -> "Configure" And set the Preferred Domain Controller?

Or do i need to do anything at all?

There  should be a functioning domain controller. If your DirSync tool was installed in the Old DC itself then you need to install it in a separate server or the new DC.

As long as there is a valid DC for the tool to contact, you should be fine. If you want a definitive answer, post the question at the Azure AD forums: social.msdn.microsoft.com/.../home
