Can I use the same code twice on the same computer?

Hi all! I purchased Microsoft Office Home and Student 2015 for my computer for school, and unfortunately I got a virus and had to reset my computer to its original state, thereby wiping Office off my computer. Am I still able to use the code from Office if it's the same computer? I REALLY don't want to go out and by the same thing all over again and spend more money!

Also, is there a way to figure out which account I linked with the code the first time around? I've check every single email address I have and I don't have a single email from Microsoft about it.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Nicole,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft community.

Before we proceed, I need more information to assist you better.

  1. How did you install Office 365 for the first time on your computer?
  2. From where did you purchase Office 365? Did you associate your Microsoft email address at the time of purchase and verification?

3.  Do you remember the Microsoft account used to link Office 365 for the first time?

4.  What is edition and version of Office you are using?

If you don't remember your Microsoft account, I suggest you to contact Microsoft following steps mentioned below for further assistance.

  1. Go to https://commerce.microsoft.com/PaymentHub/help and click on Getting Help andContact Customer Support.
  2. Under Products select Office 365 Home Premium-> Security, Privacy and Accounts > Managing my Account.
  3. You need to click on Start chat or Request a call option

Also, Office suite can be reinstalled on the same computer from the My Account page.
