My Document seems to think I have duplicate pages with the same numbering which is throwing out my contents sheet and page numbering. The Navigation page shows I have a page 1, 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 1, 1 etc, Why is this can anyone help?

It would appear that the document has multiple sections. If numbering was restarted in Section 2, then it will, by default, be restarted in every subsequent section. You'll need to visit each section in turn and use Insert | Header & Footer | Page Number | Format Page Number to set the page numbering to "Continue from previous section."
