Onenote requires password to sync, Error code: 0xE4010643

I keep getting the same error message (Error code: 0xE4010643) and onenote won't sync because it says I need a password. I have searched through the forums and have deleted my live credentials and tried opening the notebooks from onenote.com, and nothing has worked. I have even spent 4 hours on the phone with level 2 tech support for office and nobody has been able to help me. On the phone they told me to ask on this site to have my onedrive cache deleted and only by posting on these message boards can I have it done. Can someone delete my onedrive cache for me?

Hi Connor,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Office Community.

We understand how you feel about this issue, let me assist you further.

A quick question before we proceed.

Is the issue specific to a Notebook?

If yes, you may create a new Notebook and copy all the content to the new Notebook and verify the results.

You may delete Office cache files as mentioned in below.

1.      Go to start menu and open Upload Center for Office.

2.      Go to Settings.

3.      Click on 'Delete Cached Files for Office.'

4.      Click OK and check for the status.

Note: You may take a backup of OneNote Notebooks as deleting caches files for Office in OneDrive may cause the data loss.

Hope it helps. Try the suggestions and let us know the result at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.
