Hi there!

   I am trying to add a website to my presentation, I used to do it using LiveWeb app, it worked perfectly for PowerPoint 2013, but now, in the 2016 version, it shows the following:

Error 91: Description: Object Variable or With block variable not set

Does anybody know how to solve this issue? Whatever, please let me know. Regards!!

Microsoft introduced a kill bit to prevent the Web Brower object being inserted because they consider scriptable ActivX objects to be a security risk.. Live Web depends on this.

You can reset the kill bit but you would need to be very sure you know how to modify the registry

The page here explains but note you need to change 15.0 to 16.0 in 2016

You might also want to contact Shyam Pillai the author of Live Web

Hi,

You just need to make the change for the web browser control clsid - {8856F961-340A-11D0-A96B-00C04FD705A2}

Also, the registry values refer to 2013 (15.0) this would need to be changed to 2016 (16.0)

    Hi everyone,

       Indeed, as John SR Wilson suggested, the reason is on the kill bit to avoid the ActiveX controls to run, I modified the registry using the info in this webpage:

    http://vdpluijm.blogspot.com/2014/01/real-time-webpages-in-powerpoint-2013.html

    After that, it worked again!

    Thanks a lot to everyone for your replies!

    Cheers!!
