Excel chart lines disappear when chart copied and pasted into other application

When copying excel line charts, the lines that are almost vertical do not appear when pasted into another application. It does not matter what paste options are selected, even 'picture'.   I am running MS Office Professional Plus 2010 32-bit, with SP2 installed. When I grab a screenshot and paste into an application, I see the lines just fine, but lose the ability to use destination theme, and auto-resize

Thanks, That works, but suffers from the same issues as using a screen capture tool, which I noted already works, but is less than optimal.

I'm still looking for a solution where copy / paste works
