I am very happy to see Excel 2016 fully pseudo tablet ready with all of its screen gestures and screen swipes. We are trying to develop apps for tables (there are so many win10 tablets being offered) that run the full version of office 2016 and not the mobile
version of office which does not support .xlsm files.
We are really hoping that MS makes the full version of office 2016 available on the new iPads with the intel iCore processors and the android tablets and not just the mobile version. Knowing all this, is there a separate group of variables or environment
variables that are unique to Excel 2016 running on touch screens? For example, on all our worksheets we trap the use of right-click which works great everywhere even Excel 2016 on the tablet, but on the tablet if you press your touch and hold on any cell on
a protected sheet a totally separate new shortcut menu pops up with items such as:
Cut
Copy
Paste Options
...
...
...
...
Filter
Sort
ect.
Where do we control that at? My other posting earlier was with being able to stop all the screen scrolling on desktops and especially on touch tablets. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
P.S.
I wish this board would update its option as to the selection inSystem and device with another option "Office for Windows 10 Touch Screen"
One thing I'd like to know specifically about Win10 Touch is when say our app is running on a touch tablet some users have their task bar on auto-hide and it would be nice to be able to call the Win10 screen keyboard from our app and preferably be able to
put it into split keyboard or, really what we would like is to be able to split the Win10 screen keyboard and only show the Num Pad on some of our form entry screens.
Any thoughts?
