Cross Referencing REF _Refnnnnnnnnn

Hi.

Since I'm new here there maybe a chance issue was already discussed.

So here it is:

I'm trying to cross-refernce Figure in my document. My idea is to show only number of particular Figure so Figures can be i.e. "(see Figure 1-1, 1-2, 1-3) instead of "(see Figure 1-1, Figure 1-2, Figure 1-3)". The thing is I've already found this particular post which indicates how things should be done on:

http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/CombineXrefs.htm

But problem which arose is that when I try to add # "0x-0x" to Figure reference i.e. { REF _Ref218925266 # "0x-0x" \h } Word simply sums toger #Chapter#Figure and instead of getting "5-10" I get "15" which is totally wrong and in my case useless. I've tried lots of things already but without success.

So any solutions regarding this nut?

ty in advance

Since you are working with captions, the easiest solution is to add a bookmark around the figure number and then insert a cross-reference to bookmark text.

As you have seen, adding a numeric switch may not work in all versions of Word.

I see that you are using " " quotes in the fields. Remove them from the field and verify the output.
