Disabling Recent Edit Function - Onenote 2016

Is there a way to disable the recent edit function, so previous edits are not saved?

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting your query.

I would like to inform you that there is no option/settings to disable Recent edits function in OneNote.  Thus previous edits will be tracked and stored, it cannot be disabled.

    This seems like it would be an easy change to make, allowing people to opt out of this feature, and would be helpful.  I think there are a good number of people that for various reasons don't want to keep a lengthy record of every edit that has been made.  I for one am hesitant to use the product for this reason.
