OneNote export to ONEPKG Problem

I use OneNote MX for taking notes on my ASUS VivoTab - when I want to back up my notebooks from my Laptop with Office 365 OneNote some will export in a ONEPKG file just fine while others result in an error -  "Onenote cannot pack these sections because some sections have not yet been fully synced and could not be downloaded. These pages will not be saved. Continue anyway?" - even though all notebooks are fully synchronised without error. At least Sync Staus tells me this.

Also strange is that the 3 (out of all 9 notebooks) which won't export aren't the biggest notebooks. (a 243MB (from OneDrive.com) notebook on exports while a 23.4MB notebook doesnt...)

So far tried without success:

  • Reinstall Office
  • Open notebook from OneDrive as mentionned in the answer in this thread

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office\_2013\_release-onenote/notebook-packaging-problem/3cde6487-1e2c-496e-8a87-e067f96344dc

  • Copy all pages in a new notebook

Windows 8 is running on both computers (Tablet with 32bit, Laptop 64bit)

What is causing OneNote not to fully synchronise or prevent exporting?

Thanks a lot

Same problem here. Microsoft doesn't seem to have an answer to this or doesn't care about this problem. I've looked everywhere and see a lot of people have been reporting this problem for YEARS. The only solution I found was unworkable because it involves manually checking every page for corruption. And yes, this problem seems to stem from a one or more corrupted pages. OneNote will sync but it won't export the Notebook. Interestingly, you can export each section of an affected Notebook to a .one file but you can't export the entire Notebook. MICROSOFT: Are you listening? This problem goes back YEARS. Please respond, Microsoft.

Make sure to check all Sections\Pages and make sure all data including images, are synced.

    Hi,

"OneNote cannot pack these sections because some sections have not yet been fully synced and could not be downloaded. These pages will not be saved. Continue anyway?" - even though all my notebooks are fully synchronised without error.

Yes, I do have similar issue as shufflestep when trying to pack my notebooks, except that I use OneNote 2013 client. Out of 6 notebooks, 4 can get their export pack created without issue while I get this silly error message of the 2 others.  In my case the latter 2 are my biggest notebooks.

How am I supposed to "Make sure to check all Sections\Pages and make sure all data including images, are synced" ? Fyi, I get no error when synching (I tried synching notebook by notebook, or all of them at once)

Or rather, how can locate the faulty sections that "have not yet been fully synced and could not be downloaded" ?

I agree, Microsoft doesn't care unless corporate companies that pay them to work do
