Occurs in Access 2013 and Access 2016 with lists within Site Contents. (Office 365)
When attempting to add data to a particular field in an access list on Access 2013 desktop, I get, "Data cannot be inserted because there is no matching record." All other fields accept data, however, I did receive that error when I created another field within that same list. It only occurred in one record.
Upon googling for an answer I found a possible solution and that was to refresh lists of related tables.
Upon doing that I received, "You do not have the necessary permissions to use the " object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you."
I am the creator of the object. I am global admin on Office 365.

No, desktop version.
thanks
The error message sounds like you have a relationship imposed and are trying to insert an orphan record.
Is this an Access Web App?
