Problem with touchscreen on OneNote

I have an X201t with upgrades to Windows X and the newest OneNote. When I try to ink with OneNote, the touchscreen is sensitive to my hand on the screen. It does not leave ink marks where my hand touches (it did that while I was still using OneNote2007) but movement from my hand causes the paper to shift and it's impossible to write. I checked and my drivers for the pen and the touchscreen say they are up to date.
