Embedded objects in a Word document

I am using Office Professional Plus 2013. When I embed or insert an object (Excel File) into a Word Document, I save the file and attach it into an email and send that email to an associated with another company.  When they receive the email, they open the email, double click on the attached document (opening it), then they double click on the embedded object (Excel File).  They are unable to open the file.  What problems are happening here?

Ask the recipient to save the attachment to a folder on their hard drive before opening it.

When you open a Word file while it's still an attachment, Windows saves a copy of the document in a temporary folder. That's probably interfering with Word's ability to pass the embedded object to Excel when you try to open the object.
