"Effect Options" Unavailable

Question

Hi,

I just purchased Microsoft Office for a Mac (2016) and I'm unable to access the "Effect Options". It's greyed out in the Animations tabs. I was able to select an option and apply a Spinner animation, but I need to go in and adjust the settings for the rotation of it.

Exactly which Effect Options are you referring to? Not all Effect Options are available for many Animation Effects, especially the Property option & the 4 checkboxes. It also can be a bit confusing because the Spinner Entrance Effect has less available than the Spin Emphasis Effect.

That animation doesn't have any options. If you open the Animation Pane, you can also access Effect Options from there, but the Spinner Animation has only 2 available settings: After Animation, with 4 choice plus color change and Sound, which only allows you to choose a sound to accompany the motion. There are no rotation settings.

In the Animation Pane, you can adjust the Timing settings to slow/speed, delay or repeat the effect. 

An example of an animation that does have Effect Options is Entrance>Wheel, where you can choose the number of spokes.

Thanks. That was the issue. I had the wrong effect selected.
