I had correctly worked Office 2013 by Office365 license on my PC. Today i updated to Office 2016 and now i have error on activation process: 0x80072F8F

I tryed some methods from this community for older versions (like set previous time, reset), but it doesn't works for me.

How can i fix this problem? I can't do anything without activation, it's terrible.

It was my first action. Doesn't help.

There is also some interisting bug. I thinked that it's something wrong with my Office 365 activation, that stay from Office 2013, goes to site and deactivate my PC. After that Office 2016 notified me, that i have no activation on this PC and asked me for email + password of my Office 365 account. I re-enter my credetinals, but after that i have same picture as at start: Error 0x80072F8F while activating.

    Hi,

Let us create a new Windows user account and try to activate Office on the new user account and check.

Refer to the following article and check if this helps.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-user-account#create-user-account=windows-7

I hope the above suggestion helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Let us repair Office from the control panel and check if you are able to activate Office.

To do that Press win +R on the keyboard (simultaneously) Run window appears. In Run let us type appwiz.cpl and click Ok. From the list of programs choose Office 2016, right click on the program and click Quick repair.

I hope the above suggestion helps. If you need further assistance, get back to us and we will be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.
