Bullet Points in cell - Mac Excel 2016

Is there an easy way in Excel 2016 for Mac to add a bullet point in a cell (similar to clicking a bullet point button in Word)? Many times I want to use Word type bullet points in Excel (example a cell for comments) and the format is terrible on some of the options I have tried.

Example:

  • This looks very good
  • Wish I could do this in Excel 2016 for Mac and have the test wrap with indent

like this bullet does.

Suggestions very appreciated.

Thanks

Its a little clumsy but you can use the character viewer in the Apple system preferences under keyboard preferences select keyboard and character viewer. Then there will be a little symbol with a dropdown special character selector that includes a number of bullet points. Then after you insert the first one you can use copy and paste to place in as many cells as you like quickly.

The only way I can think of to make the text wrap properly is to right justify it., or place the special bullet point in a very narrow column.

Don't know if that is actually available in Excel But you do know you can type Bullets by holding down Option key while typing 8 ( • )

Another option: Create the bulleted list in Word, then copy & paste into Excel. Make sure to double-click the cell before you paste in order to paste the entire list into the cell [or select a cell & paste into the Formula Bar]. Otherwise, each item in the list will be pasted into a different row with an unsightly gap to the left of each bullet which cannot be removed.

There is no Bullets/Numbering feature in Excel.
