Exiting "Find" Mode

I'm using Word for iPad.  If I tap the "Find" icon and get into the Find (or Find & Replace) mode, I can't get back to the regular edit mode.   There aren't any on-screen buttons to tap.  What's the secret?

    I was able to reproduce the situation you're describing.  I found that by tapping in the main area of the screen, I was able to exit the "search" mode and return to the "edit" mode

    I have the same issue about being unable to exit search mode. I notice the Microsoft rep posted that they were investigating the issue and will get back to the OP once there is an update. That post was on February 25, 2016. No further response from MS has been posted. 

    There me have been numerous updates to Word for iPad since February, but the problem persists. Surely there has been enough time for MS to investigate the issue. Can you advise whether there is a resolution to this problem?
