Disable Access to the VBA Code Editor

I am trying to disable all access to the VBA code editor in Office.

So if someone creates a new blank excel file they can't bring up VBA by using ALT+F11, the developer menu or any other way.

Any Ideas?

thanks

Why not just install Excel without VBA? Do a custom install, it's under Office Shared Features.

For an existing installation:

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Open Programs and Features.
  3. Right-click on Microsoft Office 2010 and choose Change.
  4. Go with the default Add or Remove Features and click on Continue.
  5. Expand Office Shared Features.
  6. Click on Visual Basic for Applications and select Not Available.
  7. Click on Continue, then OK.

After the installer runs, VBA will not be available in Excel.

It will also not be available in any of the other Office applications!
