Visual Basic automation error, unspecified error - when using an add in needed for a program that uses Word 2007.

I have windows 7 and using Office professional 2007.  After installing updates since the beginning of 2016, my program doesn't work anymore.  I use a program to write reports that has an add in I use in Word.  After installing the updates, I get the error message and the program doesn't work.  The company no longer supports the program but told me to delete the updates since beginning 2016.

I tried uninstalling and they came right back.  Finally figured out how to stop them from downloading but they are already downloaded and I can't figure out how to get rid of them.  I tried a system restore but there wasn't one far enough back.  Also tried a backup restore but they are still there.

Last straw I uninstalled Office as well as my report program.  After relentless efforts to install again, the problem still exists and so do the updates.  There was a similar issue in 2012 but no up to date help.  Can anyone help me please?

If you want to send me a copy of the Add-in, referencing this thread in the covering e-mail message, I will see if I can find a solution to the problem.

It was hard to find the add-in.  Not sure where to find it.  The program has to be installed from a link to a website and I can't get it to you.  I appreciate your effort but I'll have to find help here.

As I said, "If you want to send me a copy of the Add-in, referencing this thread in the covering e-mail message, I will see if I can find a solution to the problem. "

The program is called InspectIt by AHIT.com.  It is a word based program that uses an add-in to provide the program details, templates, etc.  I first started using this in 2006 when I had XP.  Somehow I managed to get it on my new computer using 7.  The company is no longer supporting this software as they have moved on to a tablet based program.  When the problem first showed up, I called them and they said that the updates would have to be removed back to the beginning of the year.  I tried that several times and they just reinstalled.  I didn't have a system restore that went back that far either.  Here is a link to the software I use:

Since then, I uninstalled Office 2007 since I still have the CD's and InspectIt, also have the CD.  Most of Office is working normally but I have not been able to install InspectIt.

Even though InspectIt is not installed, the add-in is still on word and pieces remain.  Here is what happens when I try to create a new report:
