why does microsoft excel 2010 keep creating multiple chart worksheets?

Mysteriously my microsoft excel professional 2010 keeps creating multiple chart worksheets?  Even as I delete more appear!!! Please help? Thank you~Barbara

    Hello Barbara,

    Do you use Alt and F11 to open VBA editor. If so, instead of opening the VBA editor are you inadvertently pressing the Windows key and F11 which inserts a Chart sheet. I do this frequently and I am still looking a for a keyboard that types what I meant to type instead of what I did type.

    Does this issue occurs randomly or while performing some specific task?

    Start Excel application in safe mode and check if Excel works as expected.

    • Press the ‘Windows + R’ key on the keyboard.
    • In the ‘Run’ window type Excel /safe and press ‘enter’.

    Note: there is a space between the word Excel and the /

    If Excel works as expected in application safe, then disable the add-in(s) by following the steps below and verify the status.
