Is there a way to change the color of the Active Cell pointer border in excel at this point the default is a light green dotted one and I would like to be able to change it to what ever color I choose. Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

Chip Pearson has the RowLiner add-in which is fully customizable.

Highlight the active cell and/or row and column.

Installing third party add-ins can't be a solution. Microsoft has to come up with something. Stop ignoring your customers Microsoft!

I don't think that's possible, but see Highlight row and column of active cell for some alternatives.
