i have made the changes to our dns records at our dns host (123 reg), all have checked ok with the exception of the two srv records

i am being told to add the following two records:

service protocol port weight priority name target ttl
_sip _tls 443 1 100 @ sipdir.online.lync.com 3600 ‎what do i fix?‎

‎add the following srv record at your dns host.‎
---

service protocol port weight priority name target ttl
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
_sip _tls 443 1 100 @ sipdir.online.lync.com 3600 add this record
---

view step by step instructions
---
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
_sipfederationtls _tcp 5061 1 100 @ sipfed.online.lync.com 3600

i have made the following entries

i was instructed to change the priority to 1 by our dns host, otherwise i was unable to set ttl to 3600

would appreciate if someone could tell me why the two srv records wont verify

thanks

paul

Hi Paul,

According to the article I provided above, the host name can be _sip._tls (_sipfederationtls._tcp) or _sip._tls. (_sipfederationtls._tcp.), have you tried these formats?

Thanks,

Eric Yang

    hi paul,

i notice the screenshot you provided is not uploaded successfully, could you try uploading it again by clicking use rich formatting at the bottom and then click the icon of insert media.

besides, the most possible reason is that the records are not added in the correct format. since each domain hosting provider has their own format for the record, could you confirm with your domain hosting provider what the correct format is? you may also refer to the following article about how to add the srv record:

create dns records at any dns hosting provider for office 365 - add two srv records

    thanks,
