Accepted Domains

Team

We have several accepted domains on on-premises exchange servers , can you please help the process to add to O365 tenant ? also when I run the hybrid configuration wizard , I see all domains are listed , so do I need to add TXT record for all of them to run HCW?

2 questions ->1. running HCW , do I need to add TXT records for all domains ?

2.how to add the accepted domains on o365 tenant ?

    Hi Asharaf,

    Yes, you need to use the TXT record for the validation process when you run HCW on your on-premises. Before that, it is suggested that you add the domains in Office 365 Online as Allen mentioned.

    Actually i have 2 questions.

    I have 56 Accepted domains , i need to add them to exchange online & also the second question is  while running Hybrid wizard , i see the to i need to validation the all domains as per jaapwesselius.com/.../ artical.

    So please help me do i need to verify twice ?

    Hi Asharaf Ali,

    Does the TXT record you mentioned mean the one that is used to verify a custom domain on Office 365? If yes, below are your answers:

    1.    For every custom domain you need to use for email purposes, you need to add the TXT record to verify it on Office 365. It is recommended that you consider the verification as a prerequisite and do it before running HCW.

    2.    Once a custom domain is verified, you can navigate to the Exchange admin center -> mail flow -> accepted domains to make it an accepted domain.

    About the domain verification part, you can refer to Add a TXT or MX record for verification. And if I had any misunderstanding about your questions, please feel free to let me know.
