"Trim Video"

I cannot get "Trim Video" to work.  It says "Command not supported for this object"

Can anyone offer assistance?

    Trimming online videos is not supported in PowerPoint. They have to be video files that are on your hard disk.

    Hello.  Thanks for trying to help me!

    on the toolbar where the trim video "icon?" is located....it is not highlighted as an option.  when i click on it or place arrow over it, it says....  

    "This command is not supported for this object"

    i have not used trim previously.

    yes, videos are from the web

    As well as what John said (the other one) can you confirm which version of Office and Windows as I don't think it will be XP.

    Also is this a video from Online?

    Could you double-check the exact wording of the error? Can you supply some details about the video format? Have you been able to use the Trim Video command previously? The more information, the better...
