Notes are HUGE and font cannot be reduced

A colleague sent me a few PPT slides to incorporate into a presentation I'm making.  I don't know what version of PPT she used to create the slides but I'm using Office 365 with Windows 10 Home.  Her slides have notes at the bottom of each one which look perfectly fine in the versions she sent to me.  But when I copy and paste her slides into my PPT presentation, the notes appear HUGE but I'm unable to change the font size to a more manageable size like 10 or 12.  In fact, I can't change the font to any size.  Can anyone tell me how to change (in this case, make smaller) the Notes font size in my PPT presentation, and even to add additional notes of my own to her PPT sides?  Thank you, in advance.

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Let us make sure that the contents on the problem document is not a font picture.

Meanwhile let us try Opening the problem documents from the new PowerPoint document.

Open a new PowerPoint document, click on ‘File’, ‘open’ then let us navigate to the problem document and open it and check if you are able to edit the documents.

I hope the above suggestion helps. If you need further assistance, get back to us and we will be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.

Following your suggestion, my notes CAN be edited – the BOLD, ITALICS and UNDERLINE buttons work and I can add or delete text – but I still cannot change the font or the font size.  And those two things are what I need to do!  I would appreciate your further thoughts on this challenging situation.  Thank you.

Are you viewing the notes in Normal View, where the notes are in a pane under the slide edit area? Try going to View > Notes Page,  or View > Notes Master to see if you can change the size there. That should do it.

Google helped me solve this. Somehow my notes were being shown to me at 400%! When I went to View and found that I was able to reset at 100%. Thanks Microsoft Community for your attempts to help.

Had same issue ... the zoom level of my notes was set to 300%

To modify the Zoom level do the following:

    • Click View menu at top
    • Select Normal View
    • Click Zoom in ribbon
    • Select 100% (or a size that matches your preference)
