The Azure Information Protection (AIP) unified labeling client is part of the Microsoft Information Protection solution, and extends the built-in capabilities for sensitivity labeling provided by Microsoft 365.
Azure Information Protection (AIP) may be used on premise or customized with Microsoft Information Protection SDK to use with Azure File Shares

Another option is to mount your Azure File Shares to the PC using NFS and install the AIP unified labeling client using the executable installer
